Grayson was first licensed as WN4GVM in 1962 (yes, that old). He has spent much of his life in electronic product development, most of it with solid-state electronics. He got interested in restoring old thermatron amateur radio equipment in the early 1990’s and has been doing it ever since. His main interest is in thermatron receiver design. He is the author of two books in the home automation field and hundreds of industry magazine articles. He is a CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association) Certified instructor, CEDIA Top-10 Instructor, and has taught hundreds of technical courses at CEDIA University, CEDIA Expo, and other industry events for the past fifteen years. His previous company, Training Dept. Seminars, created over a dozen full length video training courses in the custom electronics design and installation field.
